Item no. 24078
Collection: Henry Foner

Cartoon by Fred Wright (1907-1984), the leading left-labor columnist from the 1940s through the 1970s, whose work was featured in the UE News, publication of the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America (UERMWA) and dealt with both labor and social issues.  In this cartoon, the US labor movement is moving in to organize the Southern textile industry, much to the consternation of the open-shop forces there.
